Andrey Morozov Speaks at IBT-2026 International Forum at MGIMO

On September 29, MGIMO University hosted the opening of the International Business Trends (IBT-2026) forum, “International Business Trends: Technology, Markets, People.”
The forum brought together representatives of the business community, government institutions, and the expert community to discuss the transformation of the international business environment and emerging economic models.

Andrey Morozov, President of the Eurasian Business Alliance, CEO of OOO "Zolotoe Vremya" (Eurasian Center for Partnership Finance), and an international Professional Consultant in Islamic Finance (PCIF), took part in the roundtable “National Management Model in an Era of Global Change: Values, Practices, and the Future.”

The roundtable was held with the participation of MGIMO’s School of International Business, the Department of Economic Policy and Public-Private Partnership, the Senezh Management Workshop, and the National Management Model Laboratory.

Andrey Morozov’s presentation was titled “Application of AAOIFI Shariah Standards in Assessing the Compliance of Digital Financial Assets with Islamic Law.”

The topic lies at the intersection of two rapidly developing areas of the financial market: digital financial assets and Islamic finance. One of the key questions in this field is what requirements the structure of a digital financial instrument must meet in order to comply with the principles of Islamic law.

An important role in this area is played by the standards developed by AAOIFI (Accounting and Auditing Organization for Islamic Financial Institutions), an international organization that develops standards for the Islamic finance industry.

For the Russian market, these issues are becoming increasingly relevant as digital financial assets and partnership finance mechanisms continue to develop. The ability to assess new financial instruments not only from the perspective of Russian regulation and issuance technology, but also in terms of international Shariah standards, creates additional opportunities for developing relevant investment solutions and international cooperation.

Andrey Morozov is currently pursuing a Candidate of Economic Sciences degree at MGIMO. His research and professional work focus on partnership and Islamic finance, Shariah-related aspects of financial instruments, precious metals, and digital financial assets.

The participation of the Eurasian Business Alliance President in IBT-2026 continues the Alliance’s expert work in Islamic and partnership finance, new investment instruments, and the development of international business cooperation.
